We are currently rebuilding an old farm and outbuildings for use as a behaviour centre where we can expand our work on educating people about animal behaviour.
We are making slow but steady progress, but the weather was against us before this year.
Progress so far
We have completed phase one of the cat house for resident cats, and have almost but still have phase two which is to build additional runs and accommodation for short term stays.
This year we are completing two major projects. To complete the work that we started late last year on the new accommodation block for our resident dogs. and complete the re-slating of the large barn that will become a large training room and indoor agility space.
Our own fields
One of the big advantages of our new premises is the 10 acres of fields that we can use to walk our resident dogs.
We have enough space outside our door to walk even our most nervous of dogs, without any problem.
The dogs love their new surroundings, and can't wait each day for our volunteer walkers to arrive and take them out.
By the end of June 2014 we should be finished the new accommodation for our resident dogs.
Once they are moved in to their new accommodation, we can move on the completing the inside of the old barn, which will be another major milestone towards completing the whole behaviour centre.
